Welcome to The Mapimpi Foundation, where our mission is to foster a vibrant and inclusive community by championing the active involvement of youth in sports, music, and cultural activities. We are dedicated to providing a platform that encourages the exploration and expression of talents, nurturing a generation that thrives through diverse forms of engagement. Beyond the realms of recreation, we are committed to a cause greater than ourselves — to stand as a shield against the shadows of domestic violence, sexual abuse and other forms of abuse.

WHO IS MAKAZOLE MAPIMPI?

Makazole Mapimpi is a South African professional rugby union player for the South Africa national team and the Sharks in Super Rugby. He usually plays as a winger. He was part of the winning Springboks of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan. He became the first South African to score a try in a World Cup Final.

Makazole has a unique story which sets him apart from the rest of the athletes and has turned him into a South African darling. His background has been laced with hardship that he has overcome and he has been an inspiration to not only South Africans, but globally as well.

Through his lived experiences and being in a position to use his influence he has taken the initiative to actively be involved in the causes that are close to his heart and therefore the birth of the Makazole Mapimpi Foundation.
